The jazz trio Bad Plus did a cover of his song "Flim." I thought it was excellent. Beautiful melodies.

It was great in the melody department, but man, the percussion was not up to Mr. James's very high standard. :/ It feels wrong after listening to the original for many years. At least it's nowhere near as completely detestable as the Dillinger Escape Plan's cover of Come To Daddy is. It's cringeworthingly bad.
