I know of Satie. I haven't listened to him that much, but the little I've heard, I've liked. Is he in that whole minimalist group?

Holy cow, listen to him. Adore him, worship him. You'll have a hard time finding anything even remotely as amazing as Satie's music. I've been listening to his music since 9th grade, I think - it has always been inspirational and spot on every time I've felt discouraged about things.
