I remember way back when I first got my computer I tried that... and I hated it. Simply because whenever you want to see an image on a site you have to right click on it and choose "show picture" or you have to go to the menu and choose "show pictures" (or something like that).
I'm on cable modem anyway... so slow speeds are not a problem in my case!
