Fair enough. That's why I suggested a counsillor rather than psychiatrist. Not sure if it's the same where you live but here the former are 100% 'Let's talk it over' people. Last counsillor I spoke to spent some time talking me out of Ritalin.

Very true. I attended a psychology seminar based on
Borderline personality disorder, and during the break when speaking to the lecturer, she discussed the stark differences between psychologists and psychiatrists. To be fair, she was obviously biased, but I did agree with her on many things.
In my opinion, I'd "trust" a psychologists methods more then a psychiatrists.
