Moaning is still moaning. But I was a little blunt, I admit.
Still, I have been in the same situation. 18 years of shit will never leave you, believe me. Your history makes who you are (one sleeps in the bed one makes, I guess. But some people don't get to make their own bed
) and in my case it made me an arrogant person who couldn't even be emotionally crushed by an 18-wheeler.
I've learned that the world is very fucked up place but that most people don't care to see it as long as it doesn't affect them. Blowing the crap out of people a thousand miles away doesn't bother anyone but when a plane hits your towers you're suddenly a victim.
People eat meat as much as they can, processing hamburgers at top speeds until they see where those hamburgers are coming from. Take a random person to a butchery and they will go: OMG that's horrible! And that same night just have another steak. People are hypocrites. Most people wouldn't want to kill a cow for their own meat, it's just convenient that someone else can do it for you.
Natural selection has been almost eliminated these days. In a balanced eco system only the strongest survive. The stupid and the weak either fall down a cliff or get eaten or drown. In our world the stupid don't die, but become president. We insist on helping those who are so deformed or handicapped they could never have a normal life without someone aiding them just because we can't let ourself stand by and see nature take it's course. People want to make themselfs feel good before thinking of the feelings of another person. People know months in advance their baby is going to be born retarded and still decide to keep it.
And what is intelligence? Having as much college degrees on your wall as possible, or being able to have your own opinion in the world and stand for it? Where would we be if no-one ever had a new idea? We'd still be throwing rocks at gay people and set random people on fire because we don't agree with their interests.
In short, I do get what this guy is on about. But I'm long past the station where I'm gonna try to do something about it and that was what I was telling this guy. No matter what you do or think, the world will not change because of one man's actions and is it seriously worth the effort?
I live my life by my own opinion, by my view of the world and by my definition of wrong and right, regardless of laws and societies morals. For me, my ideas are the right ones but I'm also not perfect and sometimes I have to adjust my ideas too. Most might say that's an arrogant statement, I say that it's a way to survive in the world of the stupid. You can't outsmart 6 billion stupid fucks, so the next best thing is to just lay low and do your own thing.
The world is not fair, people are stupid, deal with it.
