IC: Slash remained quiet for a moment, wondering why he hadn't thought of that "That's a much better idea, actually. Thank you sir, the lift should be operational again soon" He gave a salute, and headed away. He'd need to check up on the factory's schematics, they were likely somewhat different to those of a Vykkers lab...
Such things usually tended to be lower down in the facility, in place such as the cellar. Exploring the older parts of the factory, he seemed to find it in the basement. The dust, plastic cover protected the switches from the animals that now had access to it...as well as some old Paramite web. He pulled it off and threw it aside and lifted the switch. The text underneath wasn't too badly worn away...one clearly labelled "Lifts". Seemed simple enough. He flipped the switch to the off position and replaced the plastic cap before returning to the upper floors. After collecting some wire supplies, he returned to the lift.
Back at the lift, the powered off wire was now safe to work on. He pulled it out from the wall and cut the frayed ends off. He then attached a new length of wire between, clipped it to the wall and covered it in rubber sealant. It now seemed quite safe. All that was needed was to reactivate the power. After replacing all the equipment and keeping a grip on his shotgun, he headed again for the basement.
