For me, it's probably because for the majority of my time in 1997 and 98, the only thing that was ever on the TV screen was Oddworld. My Mum was a huge fan, so my brother and I soon followed.

I loved the character Abe. What he was. Who he was. I felt sorry for him when I found out he was going to be food - My brother even cried when my Mum got the bad ending.

Now I'm older, I see the great things Oddworld has. FMV's of Movie Quality, Realistic graphics in a 2D game, brilliant Ideas that I will remember for the rest of my life, and countless hours of fun. And when they changed to 3D ODDVISION it still did it for me. The ideas, the movie quality, the graphics - The amount of character and personality they put into the creatures (Fuzzles, Outlawz, Mudokons, Sligs.) And last, but most definately not least, the amount of humour, be it dark or light, and irony that is in Oddworld.
