Doom had a completely different background, different content and most of all different developers. Why worry about something that has no relevance to something else?
The Doom movie was shit though. Event Horizon was a better Doom movie, and it came out in like 97 or something

You've got a point, it easies my fears abit but it seems everytime a book/game becomes a movie, I always get my hopes up, and they always turn out to be alittle dissipointing.
