That was when it was supposedly confirmed there'd be an Xbox version and everything. There was a Crash Bandicoot PS2, a Crash Bandicoot X, and a Crash Bandicoot 128 (for the Gamecube). There was also a Crash Bandicoot Advance for the Gameboy Advance, but that was to be an entirely different game.
Crash is great and all, but there's still a chance The Wrath of Cortex will be on the Xbox, or future Crash games might be - unlike Oddworld, which has the next four games exclusively Xbox-owned.
