The irony of Easter is that most people seem to think it's the exact time on which he rose, but Easter is a move-able fest, meaning that it is on a different three-day period every year. So while Easter is the time people remember/celebrate the resurrection of Christ, it's not necessarily the three-day period in which died and subsequently was resurrected.
What you're forgetting is that the date for Easter is based on Passover, which is based on the Lunar calendar rather than the Solar/Gregorian calendar in use today. Admittedly, Easter is no longer consistent with the Lunar calendar either but it's still got some relationship.

I spent Easter Friday drunk, Saturday in a car, Sunday in a plane and then having Easter Dinner at a table where Jews outnumbered Christians. I figure that the Christians would have nothing to celebrate if it weren't for us Jews so that's okay.

Also I gave my Christian friend Joey an Easter present of a tacky Jesus keychain that's been to all the holy sites in Israel.
