third series of thumbnails, third picture: is that Wage Wars?

Looking at my originals, I don't think so. While the first word (the one on top) does appear like 'Wage', the second word is not 'Wars'. |
Looks like ‘Wage Wars’ to me. I can make out each letter, even though these are crops of screen captures of a PDF file of scans of prints of photos of a screen of slideshow thumbnails of scans of the original paintings. It’s in the fourth picture down, too.
Cheers for sharing these scans, Alcar. I've been waiting some time to have enough money to buy Ian’s book (hasn’t happened yet), so these make for a splendid preview. And like you’ve hinted, we are hoping for better copies L-later.
