Oh yeah, the whole tortoises being slow is yet another misconception, much like people thinking all bees die when they sting or that everyone here is male (hi Zozo!). I happen to have a pet tortoise (shoosh, 'tis illegal) and therefore know for a fact that tortoises are faster then most wind up toys... yes, I had a race...
