Wikipedia is nice but since any 10 yr old with half a brain can access and edit it a web search like BM did is more reliable in 95% of cases.
I would assume that Christmas Trees were incorporated into Christianity to try and find some common ground between it and the old Paganistic traditions the same way Satan was turned into the image of a Pagan God/Spirit to veer people away from it.
