I have just seen... 8 1/2 Women, finally, after having watched half of it ages ago but was just too tired to go on. I loved its frankness about sex (the two main characters, a son and a father sleep together, then the father goes on to explain how his father was tall and had a big cock; cool, no?). And like the other Greenaway film I've seen, it felt big and archetypal, with a fairly strict structure, as this recently bereaved old-guy fills up his big ol' house with concubines he picks up from all over.

Slightly too long, probably, but quirky and very interesting, the sort of film the British film industry should produce more often, rather than dreary social realism (read: they're cheap to make!), uninspired period dramas and shit comedies.
The British make the best comedies American ones pale in comparison unless they have Kevin Spacey or Bill Murray in.
