I'd use nationality or caste. I think they are more respectful than "race".

Nationality is something different altogether. If someone called me a 'Fucking limey' They're hardly being racist.

Actually race has two meanings...
1. Like racing with cars, bikes etc.
2. Like human race, alien race...
And if word race is bad for you guys... well we could say species right? xD

Species is also something completely different.
No matter what we look like or what pigmentation our skin is we are still Homo-Sapien.
