OOC: Just as Splat said, yes. They have a basic electric system among the pulley mechanism, the two are connected. If the platform is on another level, you can summon it with the console/lever/whatever (I think I usually wrote consoles when I summoned platforms, but they could vary).

"You better keep it with you. It seems you're quite efficient with weapons, after all that training. But, as you said, we already have a lot of guards, so you might end up in a manual labour position."
