I think it would be perfectly and reasonably possible to stop global warming right now, however, that ain't gonna happen, our governments aren't going to pull together immediately and stop using coal and oil etc. completely, blah blah blah. It ain't gonna happen, they're all in denial, loads of stupid idiots saying "Oh, it's happened before!" BS...
I mean, the governments are allegedly trying to sort things out, but efforts so far have been absolutely pathetic. Virtually all politicians are old, uncaring a*sholes, so for them they're either in denial or just think they're gonna die before then and couldn't care less. That's humans and our stupid political systems for ya. And, well, the whole of human society's system.

I think I accepted that we're very much screwed a loooooooooong time ago. Just try and make the best of what we can at the moment, since it's quite clear non of our leaders, the ones that can actually do anything, couldn't care less and are far too busy beating up Lesser Developed Economically Countries for oil and making some BS "We're helping them out by shooting them all" stories.
