Is it possible that after a number of reputation gain, we gain an extra star, sort of like how the post count did that orginally? Like, after +30, we get an extra star and +70 we get another, and so on.

As I've already stated, stars (ranks) as well as titles are based off
posts. Nothing
but posts.
Reputation only effects usergroup promotion - but that is something we don't use here.
