What made a satirical attitude cool in the first place anyways?

All that’s made it popular is the large number of people here that are satirical. It’s something a lot of members have done at some point or another, just with varying consistency. Obviously you don’t have this mindset, but maybe it takes this mindset to be able to distinguish between comments that are more light‐hearted and intended to amuse from those that are actually liable to offend, whether purposefully or not.

Aaaaanyway sorta on topic...There was a sticky saying to spell right and not use caps, but if people use lack of spellingness or all caps in a joking matter, the rule seems to be disregarded, it smells like double standards 8/.

If it’s done in a joking way, then it’s done self‐consciously for the humour of it. Poor language becomes a problem when people use it trying to express themselves sincerely. It can be hard to understand and tiresome to bother trying. If you don’t understand the intentional and joking use of seemingly poor language, then just accept it’s a joke you don’t get and move on, same with any other joke.
