I was quite young when I was primarily playing the early Oddworld games, around 6 or so. But when I ever killed a Mudokon I usually felt regret or anger, or laughed to myself.. Quietly.. But yeah, I had some fun playing around with them and laughing at them killing themselves. But once I discovered you could get a bad or good ending it gave me an incentive to replay through and take my time to save all the Mudokons. That's what made the Oddworld games great, they had replay value.
