No, they didn’t know that. They knew there were bones in the Brew, but not Mudokon bones. It was Abe who first realized Mudokon bones were going in SoulStorm Brew. Consumers, including Mudokons, didn’t find out until F.U.D. T.V. broadcast the story (in
Abe’s Exoddus—The Movie).

Yet that does not make a whole lot of sense. The Glukkons would have to have prior knowledge of the whereabouts of Necrum. If that is the case, they would exploit the whole burial grounds right from the start. And clearly if the sewer systems lead to Necrum (as that is how Fleeches get there), the Glukkons would need to exploit much earlier on in the story.

They could have discovered Necrum after searching for new sources of bones, following the closure (or earlier decline, as Zerox points out) of RuptureFarms. If they already knew about it (having built sewers that end up there), the Cartel wouldn’t necessarily start mining there if they already had a good source of bones from RuptureFarms. But why would they have built a sewer system that ends up in an oasis in the middle of a desert? Much more likely their sewers ‘leak’ into natural groundwater or maybe geological or Mudokon wells that then took the Fleeches to Necrum.

Could it be likely that just the Boiler System was eliminated from existance? That way, the whole Mine would just collaspe energy wise.

I assume only the boilers of Necrum Mines were destroyed. If the ENTIRE Necrum Mines blew up I'm quite sure the explosion would have been alot bigger than the one we see in the FMV.

Most probably, yeah, especially since the FeeCo railway Abe uses is undamaged. But still there would be localized damage to the grounds’ structure and sanctity.
