There's good and bad regarding exclusives...
Postives- Exclusives make a console more appealling... like many will buy an Xbox just because a great title like Munch is on it
- Developers are able to concentrate on the one system therefore in some cases producing a better game (rather than having to put work into a couple of systems)
- Exclusives get more promotion from the manufacturer (like OWI is w/ Microsoft) which will mean a game will be more popular
Negatives- You have to buy more than one system if you want to play all your favorite games
- As consoles are expensive, some people may never be able to play all their favorite games simply because they cannot afford multiple consoles at $300US each
- Too many contollers and cords mean they can get tangled! j/k
I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of at the moment.
