The funny thing is, that first link (Fawlty Towers, the Germans) is so much a part of British culture. . . Think it was voted top British comedy moment or something a couple of years ago. Sometimes we joke about and quote it, 'cause it's so funny, even if it may be somewhat insulting. :P

Still, I think the majority of the German people are just as phased by the war as we Brits are now. . . As in, not very much at all. It was a slightly different situation back in the 70s/80s, however. Although I do wonder what German people would think if they saw that clip - Would they find it funny or insulting? But then it does depend on individauls too. :P
