Do I sense compition between Brittian and America, but hang on, aren't they supposed to be allies?

I still think they should be focusing on inventions that help every day people directly, rather than combat, I mean, we may not even need combat if the right inventions get invented, doubpt it though.

Inventions that improve and/or aid in combat do help every day people.
