dairy farming is getting less and less in britain, soon we'll be getting milk and beef from France! or worse...Germany!! the reality being that if food has to be imported, your not guarenteed whats gone in it, and you can kiss goodbye to traditional british beef.
Why are you less likely to know what ‘goes in’ your beef if it comes from a different EU country? The real incentive to eat locally produced food is to reduce food miles, but then New Zealand dairy farming is so energy efficiency it still has a lower carbon footprint if it’s shipped to the U.K. than local dairy does.

But then if you’re drinking the milk of a different species after infancy, sustainable food production clearly isn’t your primary concern.
