Society as a whole is not nearly as dependant upon tobacco as it is on alcohol. It could be weaned off tobacco (as much as it has from any illegal drug, at least).

These sound like the words of someone that's never tried to quit smoking.

The point I was trying to make about prohibition was that the 'naughty' factor of alcohol being illegal actually led more people to drink. Making tobacco and illegal substance would mean that people would still throw their butts on the ground...They'd just do it secretly.

But while we're banning things that are bad, let's get rid of fast food, television, nuclear power and gays. Gays are the w o r s t!
