Krik initially ignored the mudokon as he sauntered along, but just after he passed him he froze an revolved slowly on the spot. He took in the mud's dark skin, and then yelled, "Hey, you! Stop! How... I... Where..." He hurried over to the mudokon. "Explain yourself! Where did you come from before you worked here? Why is your skin colour so unusual?!"
