Played Super Mario Galaxy.

So, your local Gamestop should have a Wii Kiosk, with Super Mario Galaxy. Not the demo, the actual game.I got about an hour in at a Gamestop today.

My play in one word? Disappointment. Don't get me wrong, it is a fun game. It is better than Sunshine, but I don't think it is better than Super Mario 64. The controls are simple, and once you get used to them, it becomes second nature. The graphics are great, but I think SSBB looks better, it might have been Gamestop's TV though. The star system is cool, but I had a hard time aiming it and moving Mario at the same time, so I really just spun the enemies. Now as for the scheme of having most of the levels little planets, I think it is a bad idea. It has its charms, but with the camera changing, you'll find yourself falling into the blackhole alot. I know with the shifting gravity in some areas, it can get confusing as well. The main way to attack enemies is probably the spin, since jumping isn't very accurate, and it was hard for me to shoot the stars and control Mario at the same time.
As far as platformers go, it is probably the best so far for Wii, PS3, or 360, and even some good platformers of last gen. Haven't played the new R&C, so I cant compare the two. As I said, it is better than Sunshine in all areas, but Super Mario 64 still reigns supreme over this, IMO. It is a candidate for GOTY. Again, i only got about an hour in. So discuss!
