You are right Gluk Schmuck... the IPs tell us exactly the internet location of a poster.

Usually you will find that an ISP (Internet Service Provider) will own a range of IP addresses. For example... if a poster had an IP of 1.1.1.45, the next time they post it could be 1.1.1.22 and so on. So in this example, the ISP may own the range 1.1.1.1 to 1.1.1.500.

As most ISPs use static IP addresses, yours will almost always change every time you logon. Some ISPs use fixed IP addresses and so do permanent connections (cable, DSL, etc).

Let me just say according to IP addresses there may have been no hacking or impersonating going on lately. Unless the impersonator used the same ISP.
