Weren't accounts hacked in the past?

No one's account has
ever been hacked into. Any illegitimate posts / content have been at the fault of the user usually due to leaving a computer whilst logged in or choosing a stupidly simple password.

The forums were hacked in 2005. As I recall the hacker did it for fun, but he/she mentioned something political, like hating George Bush. Some posts were lost, nothing important though.

No posts were lost during the 2005 hacking. The hacker (MrNsSaF), merely took advantage of a XSS vulnerability in the vBulletin code - which could have potentially allowed him to delete
anything, but chose not too. I must say it was the nicest hacking I've ever experienced.

Didn't mawk or one of his incarnations do something haxxor? I think I remember something like the mainpage being changed for a while. I remember searching the net for the name of the hacker, because it was plastered on the mainpage.

He threatened too, but nothing ever eventuated. vBulletin is fairly secure, to cause a problem with the OWF you'd need to look higher than just vulnerabilities in the software.
