I'm christian, but I do not know much about the bible and only very rarely go to church. Because of this, I have formulated my own beliefs based on what I do know. I believe in God and Jesus, but I think that the bible has big parts that are more like metaphors than actual fact. I believe in the big bang and evolution, but I also believe that God started life and set forth a plan of creating things that is constantly in progress. New stars, planets, and moons are being born in the universe all the time and the universe is actually still in creation to me. I believe in heaven, and "heck" but I think that most people go to heaven unless they are extremely evil, and that people are usually forgiven. I also think that spirits can choose to move from heaven and go to earth if they want/need to, which is why there are ghosts. I do not think that reading the bible, or baptism is necessary to get into heaven, and you only need to try to be a good person. I also think that God would also forgive people if they of a religion that turns out to be wrong, because a lot of what religion you are has to do with your upbringing and culture, not decisions that you have come to completely on your own, and being only human, we make mistakes in judgement and what we percieve to be correct. I'm not counting myself out of this and I know that I could very easily be wrong. However, I think that everything is just so complex and unfathomable in the universe to be just there on its own. I find it fascinating that I can think at all and that I am aware of myself existing. I often think about this: logically, I shouldn't exist.

These are just my thoughts. I don't think I will ever know the truth until I die. I completely respect everyone else's beliefs.

Pilot, are you serious about what you said? (don't take offense: I'm sure you understand that there are a lot of people that just make stuff up) If so, that is really cool. What is it like? Does this happen often? Weird...
