I'm probably going to end up kicking myself for getting involved in this, but I do have some things I'd like to say.
First of all, I don't believe that one must read a book in order to grow spiritually. I don't believe in religion because they all think that "everyone else is wrong" and that they're faith is the only faith.
Secondly, I agree with Rettick's reasoning on both having "god" and the "devil" inside of you. It's completely impossible to live in such a state of imbalance i.e. "only having god inside of you" The universe would simply fall apart.
I do not agree that spirits=satan/evil. I've been possesed by spirits before, **Christians: I know what you're thinking** and it's more helpful than anything. Sometimes they just want somehow communicate with you or experience what it's like to live again, so they'll "ride inside of you." Only spirits that are SO determined to perform an act in the physical world or meet a particular person will take control of the host in order to accomplish this. If one is ready to die, then they simply journey to the spirit realm after their body dies. If they have too strong of an emotional tie to a physical object or person, then they don't go onto the spirit realm and are stuck in "hell" (the physical world) until they finally let go of whatever they were pining to have or do.
I seem to have been rambling, but this is what I believe. I consider myself a spiritual person- but not of a blind faith of somekind. One has only to look inside of themselves to see the light. I also respect other's beliefs because I want them to respect mine.
