It would depend what kind of genre you wanted.
Personally I bum Fushigi Yuugi but that's because I'm a girl and abit sad like that. But my [horrible
] boyfriend recently got me Battle Royale, which is a shonen manga, and it's actually quite good. Despite my reservations about the art work.
Most of the girly mangas are all the same though, girl meets boy, girl loves boy, boy's a dickhead; that sort of thing. But I like it so... Meh.
You've got to admit that manga artists are very talented.
Dragonball Z is a whole other matter though...
