I can't believe I'm saying this, but... you're right. (the original playstation one is my most prized possesion, I collect them, got seven so far
) Even with ps1, I think they copied off Sega Saturn. But that's what sony's all about
: Copying stuff off other consoles and brands, and making them ten times better

Which makes me wonder: Why are Sony consoles so popular? meh, ps3 sucks as far as I've heard. It sounds as bad as xbox 360 (sorry xbox fans, but this is my opinion!).
What's going on with todays consoles? Seriously, all of the latest ones just seem to have better graphics and shiny looks and accessories. I dunno, but xbox and ps seem to have really predictable, tired games. Shooting, sport, rpgs... What happened to the good old platformers like AO, where everthing was just crazy, insane fun?
Consoles of today are becoming big, shiny, souless shells for gamers lacking creativity.
I hope at least one of you guys agree with me.
