By which I assume you mean "senior Shia Muslim cleric, Islamic philosopher, marja (religious authority)... and Supreme Leader of Iran" (from
Wikipedia). There is no such position as "Ayatollah of all of Shia Islam"; certain respected scholars reach the status of Marja/Grand Ayatollah but there is no single religious over-leader. And the Marjas do not even have to agree on any issue.
