I'd think trying something as controversial as effectively changing God's name would have quite the opposite effect.
In my own way, I think all religions are somewhat stupid: they have no true base that we can be 100% certain of, or maybe not even 50%. Seriously. The bible could have come from almost anywhere...and it
is so very convenient that even the 'main' religion of christianity has such frail roots it's standing on.
Even if he did manage to change God's name or whatever, I doubt anyone would change.
Also, you'd need to rewrite the whole bible, and replace every mention of 'God' or 'Lord' with Allah. Which ain't happening.
