Jerik grinned, then turned to the Chronicler. "You in?"
He looked at Copper. He had watched him on the slots. The Slig was focused, not the usual 'greedy gambler' focused, but an intelligent concentration, as though he knew just hwo, when and why he'd win on the slots. "He's probably good at cheating on slots, but I doubt he'll last at poker. He thinks I'm some dumb shmuck of a gambler. Heh.
Jerik motioned to Slak to put a cigar in hsi mouth and light it. Slak did so, then Jerik hopped over to a poker table, carefully choosing a seat. He postioned himself opposite the karaoke bar, aiming to use the disco ball as a mirror if neccessary.
"Come on! And don't worry, if my guard Slak's prescence is bothering you, I'll have him join the game too."
He muttered to the Big Bro "You pay your own entry fee, Slak."
The strategy behind entering Slak was simple- provided Slak made himself a poor gambler in Jerik's favour- 'accidental' flashes of cards, badly timed bluffs, etc. Jerik would have an upper hand for his card counting scheme. However, he was also aiming to find a way to switch the house deck with his own deck, although he knew it'd be tough if the Slig was as good a gambler as he suspected.
He whispered to Slak "Remember- if I switch the deck, the key phrase is "Time to play for real." That's when you do your thing."
"Right boss."

Flak continued to follow Chic through the hotel.

Marty shrugged as the Slig ran out. "Oh...well, better find Bernie and ask him about the entertainment."
He exited his room, locking it behind him, and made his way out of the hotel back to the front entrance, reaching Bernie.
"Ah, hello sir. I'm one of your employees. I work as a greeter and guide for the casino ground floor, and I'm organising the entertainment and cabaret. Just wondering, how limited are my bookings? For instance, would getting Snuzis N Roses to perform on karaoke night be out of the budget?"
