You have to earn respect though. There are a number of "jocks" who I respect, for varying reasons. I wouldn't stereotype everyone who you'd call a "jock".
Especially this "ending up in a burger-joint" stereotype. Confidence will often get you a lot farther than knowledge.

Sactly. Real respect comes from your actions and personality. To judge someone based on their appearance and clique is very small minded. I know several 'jocks' or 'preps' that are outstanding people as well as others that fit the stereotype.
