IC: Shoal walked into the building directed by the Vykker and looked at what appeared to be the fones. A sign above them assured him they were. He pressed the button and listened:
“Welcome to Ranrs Francium Palace job application. If you would like to apply for a job, please state your full name clearly into your fone.”
“Shoal.”
"This is not a full name. Please state your full name."
"...hm...um...Shoal the Almighty One."
“...Shoal the Almighty One, please state the occupation you wish to apply for.”
“Security.”
“Shoal the Almighty One, are you applying for security?”
“I wonder, how about yes you retarded piece of shi-”
"Our sensors indicate you are a Mudokon. You are not eligible for this occupation"
"Hey, I think you mis phrased that, and I don't like fones that mis phrase stuff. They get damaged...alot"
".........Shoal the Almighty One, are you applying for security?"
"Yes I am"
“Shoal the Almighty One, I will now require you to answer some medical questions. Do you suffer from diabetes?”
“No.”
“Shoal the Almighty One, do you have any type of Phobia which may prevent you from working to your full capacity?”
“Nope.”
“Shoal the Almighty One, are you an asthmatic?”
“No.”
“Shoal the Almighty One, are you under any sort of medication which needs a doctor’s prescription?”
“No.”
”Thankyou for using YerTrap automated communications system. Your application will be processed shortly.”
"Thanks. Now get on with it."
"Bzzzt."
The fone shut down. Thank Odd that ordeal was over with. He booted the thing before walking out.
Shoal wandered about for a while, wondering where to go. For now, he might as well have a look in the hotel, to see what sort of dirt may be around that would need a good thrashing later, perhaps. There, however, he noticed a collection of three near the entrance, two Sligs and a Clakker, dopey things...he walked over to them and just caught on the end one of the Sligs asking about where to go after signing up. he looked at the other two "Yer, what he said. I dunno where to go either. I just signed up for the security..."
