@Mox.Co: Axolotls are meant to be kept in separate tanks, alone.
@skillya: Normal 'wild' variety, or one with extra pigmentation. The white one with red gills is the most common albino variation found in shops.

Axolotls are a type of salamander, they live in 2 lakes somewhere-or-other in the wild, which are deficient of a certain mineral I forget the name of, so they do not mature into adults. Somehow, they evolved to be able to breed in the larval state. Through mineral or environmental triggering, the Axolotl can be made to metamorphose. The 'adult' form is similar to the Tiger Salamander, though there are a few notable differences, such as colouration mainly.
