Well, we already know that the answer will be at least one, and that none of the factors will equal zero. There's a good chance of several other intelligent races within our Galaxy. Even getting an answer of 2, we'd still be able to predict that there
is intelligent life out there...
And remember, that equation is just for our Galaxy. The Universe is a pretty huge place...
