They're only legal in the UK if you have a special license for them, and if you own one illegally they can take it off you, put it down and fine you.
I disagree with randomly killing animals but it is a fact that some animals are more aggressive than others. Look at your average guinea pig, then look at a tiger. Which one are you more likely to poke?
