If they were having Paramites in there, either the slave wouldn't be there, or there'd be two Paramites. No reason not to. This thread doesn't really need posting in any more.

Agreed.
Anyway, the Mudokon slave was probably placed there to be killed, for being bad or something. But I never understood why the Scrab only attacked when Abe was on the screen.
