Not necessarily. You could be a non-virgin and then take a vow of chastity. The term implies celibacy (i.e. not having sex in the present) rather than not having
had sex. A secondary definition would be following sexual morality; a person choosing to only have sex in the missionary position with a legally and religiously appointed spouse would still be considered chaste.
