IC:
Cora and Kole listened to the instructions of their new Slig master with respect toward him. They were faced with the usual demands by this Slig master, yet the Slig seemed almost a little cruel toward his brothers. Did the power go over the Slig's head, the Mudokons weren't sure. All they were hoping to do was simply follow instructions and just try to live around the place.
As the two Mudokons approached the black and blue contracts that held their information, Kole blinked violentily in his eyes to get it not so red. He was hoping he wouldn't give the Vykker any ideas or have the Slig master know that he is injuried. He realized that he was not great at printing words and whispered to Cora saying, "Cora, do you know how to write?"
Cora looked at him a little scared like and responded, "Yes, I watched a Mudokon use grafitti on the walls in the old place. Why?"
Kole replied a little frustrated, "Damn, just what I needed. Another bad foot to step first on,"
"Look honey, just try. Don't get angry because this is something you're not good at,"
"Look, I just don't want to slip up again. Sligs hold strong grudges against Mudokons for not being able to do something,"
Cora sighed. Kole had a bad behavior to whatever reminded him of previous years. He was horrible to her and Sligs could see that. What if they get the wrong impression of him? It was hard loving a victim of torture, espically if they couldn't get over the fact that they were treated horribly.
She glanced at Vernel with a respectful look on her face. She wished to portray obidence and willing to follow the rules. Kole on the other hand, gave him an empty glance that tried to hide his actual feelings of working here. Kole thought that this Slig had no idea of what he went through and most likely wouldn't care if he did. Cora knew that may be true, but he tried to tell Kole to stop thinking that. It wasn't healthy to think of such hateful thoughts towards other people. She hoped that he would get the nerve some day to just realize that things were all right now. Kole simply didn't listen to her because he believed denying the truth was never the answer. How could he possibly do that?
Cora finally grabbed herself both a contract and a pen. She grabbed an extra of both for Kole. The two went back over to the train and pressed the contracts onto the exterior of the train. Cora and Kole read down the contract, looking for words to sign on. The contract read:
"I, __________, am now an employee of Camp #7002 in purposes of pure labor. I agree to these terms by following the instructions and displine my fellow master has given me. I, __________, will work from sunrise till 4 moons reach the peak of the night time sky. In this space of time, I agree to work constantly to fulfill the sanitary conditions of my fellow employees. This includes scrubbing away any trash, acids, puke, liquids, foods, blood, oil spills, scrab and unimportant papers, crushed minerials, salt, unrine, and cigarette bits, until I can see my face on the floor. I, __________, also agree to capitialize the true importance of the employees in Camp #7002 higher above me on the job scale, by tending to instructions that are logical. (I, ___________, also agree that all of my master's instructions are completely logical)
I, ____________, also agree that I shall access or touch any equipment or annexs that are restricted off limits. I agree that if I do disobey these simple rules, I, _____________, will allow myself to be open to any punishment made by master.
I, ______________, agree that I will never in any circumstance attack, assult, murder, moon, purposily or accidently harm, talk to unless talked to first, touch, stick out my tounge at, develop relationships with, or displease a higher authority at my time here at Camp #7002.
I, _________, will make and cook food for other employees as shown on the menus given to me, no matter how complicated or ridiculous these foods are.
I, ___________, shall not talk to another Mudokon unless given permission to first by a higher authority.
I, ____________, shall never, ever by any event, touch a weapon unless it involves polishing it first.
I, ____________, shall never interact with another Mudokon who seems to possess a native backround.
I, ____________, will work for twenty hours a day no matter how tiresome I am.
Talking in a foreign tounge is something I, __________, agree not to do.
I, ___________, will never sleep on the job.
I, ___________, will never eat outside of my work hours.
I, ___________, will never touch or swallow any drugs.
Never will I, ___________, find interest other than work-related stuff.
I, __________, agree that when I ever disobey this contract, I will terminated and/or tortured as punishment.
I also agree that, I, ___________, will fulfill my daily quota."
It was basically an average rule bench for a Mudokon worker. Cora easily signed her named in the spaces, while Kole struggled. He had to remember how his name was spelt and try to copy it off from the top of his head. Being Mudokons, their hand writing expressed why they weren't given accountant jobs. Yet, they expressed that they signed and agreed to every single term. Now whether they were going to listen to all of the rules, was something that was out of question. Yet the contract was signed completely, and they got away from the train.
They saw the Slig Master give others instructions and pushed that away from their minds. They both turned in their contracts and awaited before Vernel, saying nothing. They were awaiting instructions for their next job.
