OK, I will give this a go. I will just have two characters for now.
Name: Kole
Gender: Male
Species: Mudokon, Worker class
Age: In Oddworld years, around 7. In human years, that is like 21.
Appearance: Kole has the same posture and same color of skin as any ordinary Mudokon. He does look a little bigger than most and has a little muscles on his body. However, his eyes look blood-shot and have a coat of red on them. He also appears to be have bags under his eyes, from lack of sleep. As for now, he has no specific uniform. He simply wears Scrub clothing.
Equipment: He wears a Scrub uniform and has a cloth tucked into his pocket.
Personality: Kole acts normally, but he often is disturbed by some sort of trauma he has. He can quickly snap if he is ticked off by another Mudokon, since he is never gets enough sleep. He freaks out easily, and espiscally hates to be beaten. Kole will get very frustrated and might even hurt someone if he sees beating about.
Backstory: Kole was born in slavery in a factory called SoulStorm Brewery 672. The factory held a small number of employees, but still bred Mudokons by simply buying eggs. It was small, but Mudokons and Sligs found decent work there at SoulStorm Brewery.
He was raised at SoulStorm Brewy 672 and found an elder friend named Cora. She basically raised him as a Mudokon while being trained by a strict Slig. The Slig was quick to learn that Kole could handle immense amounts of weight and labor, so he was assigned to a different job than pushing levers. Kole got the job as picking up barrels of SoulStorm Brew and moving them manually out onto the boarding area.
He developed a very close bond with his friend Cora, despite the age difference, and is not afraid to be affectionate with her. (Not like girlfriend and boyfriend, more like mother and son) They kept their relationship a secret, for they did not want anyone to know that they were real close. They only saw each other during the lunch breaks, while they were working, and after their shifts were over. But they apperiated the moments.
Yet, two years ago Kole got into an accident. He was carrying a barrel to placed onto his cart, so he could carry more than one barrel to the docking area. Then, the newly waxed floor made him slip and he fell over while dropping the barrel as well. The impact with the barrel made the cap fall off and throw about 23 bottles of SoulStorm off the platform. All the bottles landed on the platforms below the one Kole was on. Some of them hit two Sligs and caused them to go unconscious. Others simply made a mess on the floor, making Kole responsible for the accident. The Glukkon boss was not pleased at all with the mess, and demanded that he was to go under one of the TearExtracters for 47 hours straight with no breaks in between.
That was one of the worse moments in Kole's life. Not also did he suffer from lack of sleep, a non-stop pain went through his body. Kole's tear glands eventually were starting to shut down after the incident, making him having to blink a lot to get his eyes wet. Although he was given two days off to work off the pain (and it provided them with an immense amount of tears, which pays off two days of work), it never got better. The pain wouldn't go away. His mind started to illusionate, and it felt like he never got off the TearExtracter. Kole can know never have a dream where he isn't hung from his legs and having his tears extracted from his body.
Even worse, the Sligs who were scarred from the glass shattering on their bodies, wanted to kill Kole. He was shot at many time, (not the metal bullet kinds) and was beaten after unloading his cart many times a day. The pain from the TearExtracter was always around, and it was even more painful each day he was beaten. He was traumatized for life, even when the Sligs beating him were sent to a different facility and when Cora tried to nurse him to health. He became weak, and was only able to do much less physical work. The Glukkon boss simply told him to cook, after Kole made a great Paramite Pie for the Glukkon boss. He was able to do that, since it wasn't as hard.
Eventually, the Glukkon boss placed Kole into Camp #7002 on a border island, because he thought that he should support Dripik's operation on getting more Mudokons for Molluck. So now Kole and Cora are off to the border island, to work as a cook and a floor scrubber.
Name: Cora
Gender: Female
Species: Mudokon
Age: Around 30 in Oddworld years, but that is around 50 in human years.
Appearance: An older looking female Mudokon. She has Scrub clothes on and looks like a Scrub too. Cora also takes on the appearance of having a well build body.
Equipment: A bucket, clothing, and a cloth.
Personality: She has a very caring personality, even more so with Kole. She doesn't want too much happening with her that is uncomfortable, and tries her best to politely address the problem. However, Cora can get lost at looking outside, as she sees something out there. She is also very tolerant, even more so with Kole's new behavior.
Backstory: Cora was a Mudokon egg found in a village, and was taken away by Sligs before she could hatch. Although Cora never saw the village, she somehow feels like that she could remember something about it. She feels drawn to the very sight of outside, but never get's to see it very often.
Aside from that, Cora was bought at a slave auction by the Glukkon excutive of SoulStorm Brewery 672 at the time. When she first worked there, she was asked to make SoulStorm by hand for a job. She was among seven others who did that, and was frustrated at a young age at the ten hour shifts made for them. She only had three hours in between shifts to catch a drink or bite and take a small rest in a designated sleeping cage. It was not easy, being that most of the day was spent working with bottles on an assembly line. She was just glad she wasn't the few selected to be on TearExtracters.
Things changed as she was nearing middle age. The Glukkon excutives were surprised how well she was able to continue her status as alive and healthy, but knew she was slowing down. Her productivity fell little by little, making it hard to keep up with the quota. Luckily, she was able to live by convincing the Glukkons that she could still work by being a floor scrubber. It wasn't as hard as the assembly line and only costed her a ten minute shift on the Tear Extracter every other day.
By the time she was 24, Kole was born. She instantly started to care for him when it seemed like no one would hang around him. Cora gave Kole lessons on how to work, walk, and speak. He quickly grew into a less lazy person because of an influence of a hard working Mudokon. Yet, they got even closer when Kole grew older, and eventually she became a very caring mother to Kole.
When Kole had his accident, Cora did her best to try and heal him. She was try to comfort his sores on his skull when no one was looking, and tried to tell him that he had nothing to worry about any more. But this only helped him a little, and he almost started to avoid listening to her lectures. Cora grew increasingly upset about his position as a tramautized Mudokon. She was afraid that her loved one was going to commit suicide from his pain.
She was more than thankful to hear that she was being moved to an island. Not only will she just able to see the outside more often, but maybe Kole will revive from his pain there.
