IC: Slash saw the Psycho holding a grenade, and heard it ticking it's 5 second counter. He quickly pulled up so he would be out the way, then took out his shotgun and held it, ready to try to shoot the Slig if it survived the explosion it caused.
Sturg heard the ticking. He recognised it from a few times, and always before explosions...f*ck. A grenade or whatzit. He sped up, and lunged for the Sligs legs, trying to grab one. He chomped his jaws down, not sure if he'd caught a hold on, and regardless, curled his body up, baring his scales ready for the soon coming explosion.
OOC: I made my characters notice the ticking, and try to react in time, which should be perfectly reasonable. They don't just ignore the ticking until he throws the grenade or summat.
Also, Venks, you have to decide if Sturg actually catches on or not. Try not to be unfair though, with spawning grenades or summat.
