And Slaveless, you forgot to mention Red Muse in your list of people who have been away for a looooong time! Though I'm sure there's plenty of others too (like Seargentbig, though he's still around, just not in the RPG).

Hembar, who was also hiding in shadows near the lab, saw another mudokon (Isaac) approaching. Then he noticed a paramite that was hidden in another shadow, and started nervously talking to it.
As she watched, another mudokon (Joe), dressed up like a glukkon, came out of the lab and talked to the first.
Stepping out of the shadows and walking up to them she spoke first to the glukkon-dressed one,
"I'd take care if I were you, he was talking to the paramite here."
Then she turned to Isaac,
"But don't worry, paramites will almost never attack when they're on their own unless you corner them. 'One may be fun, two you better run' was the old saying"
