I love reading! We have over a thousand books in my house!
I've read Chinese Cinderella too, BD. It's so moving; I cry every time I read it!
Like Melvin, I enjoy reading about surrealism. I find it fascinating, and it's so refreshing as an art form because there are no rules.
My favourite author is Richard Dawkins. He is a geneticist and a computer programmer, and he writes books about Darwinism, genetics and evolution.
I also love books on heraldry. It's a huge part of British history, and it even has its own language!
Azure a martlet argent!
In general, I prefer non-fiction to fiction. Gerald Durrell was an animal collector and zoologist, and his autobiographies of his animal-collecting expeditions in the Cameroons are informative and deeply hilarious!
I do like a bit of fiction every now and again, especially if it's funny. I will admit to reading the Harry Potter books as well. I was very sceptical when I read the first one, because I had heard that they were aimed at 9-11 year-olds, but it was so good I stayed up until 1:30 am reading it! I'm a really fast reader, too. I managed to read the fourth Harry Potter (yes, the huge fat one) in a single day! And not even in one solid reading session. I took two big PlayStation breaks as well! Top that!
