Gently and totally soundless, the lion sneaked up forward to not loose the both bounty hunters out of sight. He saw that they began the hunt together. He saw that they split up. He saw that they fought their ways to get to Duke, unstoppable. But he especially watched the girl and noticed how pugnacious she was. And that was the thing that made him nervous. It also happened too often that Jennadelle just killed the outlaws. And every time she did, it seemed to became harder and harder for Jennadelle to
"let them be alive". She was really reluctant to capture an outlaw alive with her can trap. However, this was not a surprise for the lion at all. He knew Jennadelle. He knew her better than anyone in Oddworld did. But he kept staying away from her far enough to not be seen.
In the meantime, Stranger captured the half of Duke's boys already and looked for the boss of those outlaws. Jennadelle got many booties as well and still looked for more ones. But the only person in the water works she saw was Stranger. They got all of Duke's minions. But where was Duke, anyway?
Jennadelle went check out the outer wall to have a look at yet undiscovered places. Maybe there was a hidden door. She strode away from Stranger who still was watching out for Duke.
Outside, Jennadelle observed everything exactly to make sure that she didn't forget an outlaw... and then she saw someone lying in a shrubbery far away. An animal? The glint of its eyes glowed trough its densely hiding place. They were watching Jennadelle.
"What the...?!", Jennadelle asked herself and tried to recognize what kind of an animal this had to be.
All of a sudden, she heard a loud voice yelling: "
Tear him up boys!!"
And you could hear thunderous shoots. Immediately, Jennadelle turned around to the water works and knew that this had to be Duke's voice. And he found Stranger.
But before Jennadelle ran to the water works, she looked back to the shrubbery. But there was no animal to be seen anymore.
Stranger found the boss of the outlaws indeed but Duke withdrew and set two of his minions on him which were armed with rocket launchers.
Fortunately, Stranger was not easy to hit and the minions, who stood on the one-storied building in the middle of the water works, found this a hard nut to crack...
